Facilities
Everything you see on campus has been built with student success in mind. And, even though we’re nestled in a setting that hasn’t changed much since the last Ice Age, our facilities and resources look sparkling new. That’s because they are. Carthage has invested more than $250 million in recent years in residential, academic, and recreational facilities.

SESQUICENTENNIAL PLAZA
Abraham Lincoln was an early Trustee of the College, and U.S. Secretary of State John Hay was a Carthage alum. The two still have a proud place on our campus. Everyone who knows Carthage knows “the Lincoln Statue.” Spend some time in our central plaza. On warm days, you’ll find professors leading their classes here.

This striking building has been the chief symbol of religious life at Carthage for 40 years.
